Poem on Triquetral Bone

ANATOMY AIIMS, GROSS ANATOMY, EMBRYOLOGY, NEUROANATOMY, MICROANATOMY, APPLIED/ CLINICAL ANATOMY Triquetral Bone
Within the wrist, there lies a bone,
A three-cornered wonder, all on its own,
The triquetral bone, with features so fine,
A carpal bone, that helps the wrist to align.
It sits between the lunate and pisiform,
A pyramid shape, that's not easily torn,
Its medial surface, where the hamate does lay,
A vital attachment, that helps it to stay.
It's the smallest bone, of the carpal eight,
Yet essential for wrist movement, so great,
Its facets, three, where ligaments do bind,
A strong and sturdy structure, that's hard to find.
Its dorsal surface, where tendons do slide,
Assisting in movement, with grace and pride,
The extensor carpi ulnaris, an attachment so strong,
Helping with wrist extension, all day long.
The palmar surface, where tendons do rest,
Assisting with movement, it's one of the best,
The flexor carpi ulnaris, an attachment so fine,
Assisting in wrist flexion, movements divine.
The triquetral bone, a bone of small size,
Yet essential for wrist movement, it should not surprise,
A remarkable structure, that deserves our attention,
Let's cherish and protect it, with utmost caution.
